Treating tooth decay
We remove the decayed tissue and rebuild the tooth with a light-cured material — usually in a single visit.
When you need it
- A dark spot or hole in a tooth
- Food gets stuck between teeth
- Short pain from cold or sweet things
How the treatment works
- 1
Examination
The dentist checks the tooth and takes an X-ray if needed.
- 2
Anaesthesia
We numb the tooth so treatment is comfortable.
- 3
Removing decay
We remove the decayed tissue and keep the healthy part.
- 4
Isolating the tooth
We keep the tooth dry from saliva so the filling bonds well.
- 5
Layered restoration
We apply the material in layers and cure each layer with a light.
- 6
Polishing and bite check
We shape, polish and check the filling doesn't get in the way when you bite.
How long it takes
About an hour.
After the procedure
- You can eat once the anaesthesia wears off
- For the first day — no coffee, tea or staining foods
